I Just Want to Show You This One Thing...

This is a receipt from the Post Office where I held up the line for a good half hour on Tuesday mailing trade packages. I have stuff going out to about 60 bloggers in three countries. I still have ten packages for which I need addresses and another half dozen I have not yet prepared, but I just had to show you this insane receipt. It's 7 1/2 feet long. The total was $179.14.

The postal worker who helped me was a trainee under supervision. Now she's an expert.

  1. Man, I can't tell you both the sympathy, empathy, and exuberance with which I'd meet this USPS worker! Good work, Jr.Junkie! Live the legend!

  3. Is the fine print at the bottom a text telling you never to come back under no circumstances ?

  4. I really think I would be murdered if I attempted to mail that many at one time at my post office.

  5. That Trainee is probably ready to open her own post office now!

I really like my post office (before I started blogging, I would never have guessed I would type that) !They are always very helpful and are the opposite of the negative post office / govt worker stereotypes.

  6. Hmmmm. If you're trying to get mentioned on every single card blog in the world, this is the correct method.

  7. Haha, awesome! I am afraid for my life at my post office whenever I mail that much...people in my part of the country carry guns.

  9. That looks like the length of the receipt I get when I go to Walgreen's to buy a pack of gum.

    1. It's currently draped over a hangar bar in my card closet. No plans yet except for continuing to keep it hidden from the wifey.
